Here is the recipe:
9 Eggs
250 gr Butter
750 gr Sugar
1 cup Lemon Juice
(In top of double saucepan)
Melt butter and sugar, add beaten eggs and lemon juice.
Cook approx 15-20mins, stirring until spread thickens.
At the April Morning Tea, Mary Heuschele, my lovely Mother-in-law, demonstrated how to make Lemon Butter. It was very well received by all present and everybody was delighted to be able to take a small bottle home. Hi, how long does the lemon butter last once its made. Do all the bottles need refrigerating or just once they are opened. Thanks
