In October our Cooking From Scratch team made some delicious pizzas and learnt how to use the same dough base to make a sweet treat. They looked and smelt amazing. I even got to sample one and I can vouch that they tasted great! In the next little while I will be creating a new page with Helen's recipes from the Cooking From Scratch workshops. My favourite is still the curry base. I had it again on Wednesday night. We used sausages and coconut milk. It is so easy but amazingly delicious!

On the 26 October a group of ladies young and old gathered to make some cards. We had so much fun learning some different techniques from each other. Annette showed the group how to make some great Christmas tags and I showed them how to make a simple origami Christmas Tree. Annette also showed us how to make a 3D card incorporating some beads. It was great to have the girls there as well. They both made some really clever cards. For the morning tea in September we visited Shirley's garden which she had entered into the country section of the Carnival of Flowers. Although it had been very dry Shirley's garden was looking quite spectacular. Even though she had been surprised with the carnival judges coming a day earlier than expected we found out later that Shirley had come third in her section. Congratulations Shirley. You certainly deserve it! |
